Dr. Z. S. Meharwal is the Chairman & Head – Adult Cardiac Surgery, Heart Transplantation and VAD Program at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, Okhla. He is part of the founding team of doctors at the institute and brings 35 years of professional experience in cardiac surgery. Over his career, he has performed more than 30,000 cardiac surgeries, including complex heart procedures and Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) surgeries. He is widely recognised as a pioneer of several advanced cardiac surgical procedures in the country.
